St. Anthony of Padua School is a Catholic elementary school serving the
children of New Orleans.
The mission of St. Anthony of Padua School is to provide educational
excellence according to the Dominican tradition in a multi-cultural, Catholic
community with emphasis on Gospel values.

St. Anthony of Padua School has a stable faculty of dedicated educators
which includes Dominican Sisters in administration and the religion
program. Our staff includes a School Counselor and Speech Therapist.

Divided into 2 semesters of 18 weeks, each with 9 week reporting periods
The academic curriculum includes religion, reading, English, math,
computer, science, social studies, music, spelling, handwriting, Spanish,
physical education.
The Early Childhood Program, using Montessori Method, focuses on the
individual and provides opportunity for advancement based on ability.
The Elementary School Program (grades 1-3) emphasizes basic academic
skills. In grades 4 and 5, emphasis is placed on critical thinking skills and
specific knowledge of core subjects.
The Middle School Program challenges students to extend their academic
horizons, develop leadership skills, and take greater responsibility for their
own lives.
The Technology Program offers instruction to all students. It provides broad
computer skills and integration of academic subjects with technology.
Foreign Language (Spanish) is taught to students in grades PK through
grade 7.
Before and After School Care in a structured environment is offered to all
students.
St. Anthony offers opportunities for spiritual growth through weekly liturgies
and daily prayer.
Enrichment through ballet, sports, fine arts, band, keyboard, and recorder is
offered.
Weekly sign language classes expose students to the basics of signing.
Catapult (Title One) provides tutoring to students who qualify for
remediation.
St. Anthony has developed an exemplary technology curriculum which
offers students one of the best computer-to-student ratios in the State. The
school has multimedia learning stations in school libraries and science lab.
St. Anthony is a member of the Catholic School Athletic League and offers
flag football, basketball, volleyball, and softball.
