Our Mission
The mission of St.
Anthony of Padua School is to provide educational
excellence according to the
Dominican
tradition in a multi-cultural, Catholic community with emphasis on Gospel
values.
Our Vision
The vision of St.
Anthony of Padua School is to educate students in the
Catholic faith, according to the
Dominican
tradition, who will be lifelong learners, active Christians, charitable
servers, and responsible world citizens.
Our Beliefs and Goals
- The
St. Anthony of Padua
School community
believes that each student is a reflection of the beauty of God and
created in His love. The school
shares with the parents the task of educating their children in a loving
and nurturing environment.
- As a Dominican School, the school provides an educational
program based on the Dominican tradition of prayer, study, community, and
service.
- St.
Anthony offers a proven educational program which addresses the total
development of the students through a rigorous and diverse curriculum that
addresses the needs and interests of the learner.
- The
school’s religion curriculum develops an understanding and appreciation of
the Catholic faith in an atmosphere wherein a relationship with God is
nurtured.
St. Anthony of Padua
seeks to closely collaborate with parents, the primary educators of their
children, in providing educational excellence within a caring and
affirming family environment.
- St.
Anthony of Padua
attempts to instill in each child the lifelong values of respect for
diversity, responsibility for self, and service to society.
- The
school provides opportunities for each child to learn about, share in, and
appreciate cultures other than his/her own, thus enabling each to recognize and value goodness, truth,
and beauty, wherever they are to be found.
St. Anthony of Padua
offers each child the opportunity to experience Dominican values by
emphasizing the motto, VERITAS, the lifelong search for TRUTH.
Our Philosophy
At the St. Anthony of Padua School,
we believe that the child we educate has both a soul and a body and is endowed
with intellect and free will. Therefore,
we aim to provide for the ongoing spiritual, intellectual, aesthetic, cultural,
religious, emotional, and physical development of each student, both as an
individual and as a member of society.
We, the faculty and staff, recognize that we share with the
parents the responsibility for assuring a child’s development into a mature
Catholic. We seek to equip each student with
the background and skills necessary to fully develop his/her potential within a
multi-cultural, multi-economic setting.
The faculty dedicates itself to constant self-improvement and endeavors
to foster in each person a love for learning and a sense of responsibility for
his/her education and actions. The
purpose of these endeavors is to enable the student to live a life enriched by
his/her educational experiences and to facilitate the student to effectively
strive for the ultimate goal which is eternal happiness.
